Overview #
The world is one continuous place, and its NPCs are scattered across the areas you travel to as you progress, from The Origin at the surface, down into the Iron and Diamond mines, up to Skyspire, and into the Era Chamber. Walk up to any of them and interact to open their menu, shop, or dialogue.
Broadly, NPCs fall into a few roles:
Sell and upgrade gear: pickaxes, swords, and armor for each mine's tier.
Apply relics, refine Pure Diamonds, and open the upgrade tree.
Hand out quests that reward relics, artifact slots, and automation.
Grant and change your Alignment in the Era Chamber.
/warp menu shuttle you straight to each area. The Origin & Surface #
The people you meet first, around The Origin, the Coal and Bronze mines, The Peak, and Skyspire.
| NPC | Where | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| First Coal Pickaxe | Coal Mine | Sells your very first wooden pickaxe so you can start mining. |
| Coal Gear | Coal Mine | Upgrades your Coal-tier pickaxe, sword, and armor. |
| Bronze Gear | Bronze Mine | Sells and upgrades Bronze-tier gear. |
| The Alchemist | The Origin | Brews potions in exchange for Flesh. |
| Strength | The Peak | The NPC where you unlock the Strength stat. |
| The Scientist | Skyspire area | Gives a research quest that unlocks Time Leap automation. |
| Genesis Captive | Deep below the Origin | A Genesis-only questgiver (see Quests). |
The Iron Mine #
The Iron Mine opens at Time Leap tier 5 (Caveman) and is home to the Undead Miner as well as two NPCs.
| NPC | Where | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Gear | Iron Mine | Sells and upgrades Iron-tier pickaxes, swords, and armor. |
| Relic Smith | Iron Mine | Applies your relics onto a gear piece, amplifying that piece's own boost. |
The Relic Smith is the only place to slot a relic. Bring the relic and the gear you want to attach it to. Armor relics go on armor, pickaxe relics on pickaxes, sword relics on swords. Like all items, both the relic and the gear are never lost to any reset.
The Diamond Mine #
The Diamond Mine unlocks at Time Leap tier 12 (Diamond Breaker) once you've reached The Stone Age. It's the busiest area on the server, packed with NPCs, custom mobs, and the boss.
| NPC | Where | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Korrin | Diamond Mine | The Diamond Mine Overseer, who sells your first diamond pickaxe. |
| Diamond Smith | Diamond Mine | Sells and upgrades Diamond-tier gear. |
| The Collector | Diamond Mine | Trades rare artifacts for Pure Diamonds and hands out a quest chain. See the Collector page. |
| Diamond Forge | Diamond Mine | Refines Diamonds into Pure Diamonds (see Pure Diamonds). |
| Upgrades | Diamond Mine | Opens the Pure Diamond Upgrade Tree. |
| Drill Mechanic | Diamond Mine | Sells drills, but only to Tectonic-aligned players. |
| Gatekeeper | Diamond Mine | Guards the entrance to the Aeon Crystal cave. |
The Timelords #
In the Era Chamber stand the four Timelords, one per Alignment. Interact with one to pick or change your Alignment, and each grants a different pool of randomly rolled boosts and unlocks its own content.
| Timelord | Unlocks at | Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Genesis | The Stone Age | Boosts Ticks, Moments, and Seconds; opens the Genesis Caves. |
| Ascension | The Bronze Age | Boosts Intelligence, Strength, and Seconds; opens the Arcane Trials. |
| Tectonic | The Bronze Age | Boosts ore output and Mining Speed ⛏; unlocks drills and the Deep Breaker. |
| Carnage | The Bronze Age | Boosts Damage 🗡, Defense 🗡, Flesh, and Loot Luck ⭐; opens the Volcano. |
Questgivers #
A handful of NPCs give quests, tracked with /quests, which shows live progress bars. Quests
persist through ordinary Time Leaps and Era tier-ups.
One quest, Introductory Research, that unlocks Time Leap automation.
A chain of quests that opens his artifact shop, rewards the Collector's Cloak relic, and expands your artifact storage.
Fifteen randomized quests (Genesis only) that each reward a Genesis Token.
See the Quests page for the full breakdown of each chain, its goals, and its rewards.
