Overview #
Aeon Crystals sit at the very top of the mining chain, above even Pure Diamonds. Where Diamonds feed the Diamond Forge to produce Pure Diamonds, Aeon Crystals are meant to be the next tier of genuinely scarce late-game currency, the kind you spend on deep progression rather than something you rack up by the billions.
Their cave lies deep inside the Diamond Mine, sealed behind a Gatekeeper who currently turns everyone away. The entrance, the animated gate, and the lore all exist in the game right now, but the resource behind them isn't obtainable yet.
The Sealed Gate #
Far into the Diamond Mine you'll find a heavy reinforced gate and a Gatekeeper standing watch. Interact with them and you'll be turned back. The gate rumbles but stays shut, and stepping into it simply pushes you back out.
For now the Gatekeeper never opens the way, no matter your progress. The cave beyond is finished enough to block off, but the crystals and whatever guards them aren't ready for players yet.
What to Expect #
Aeon Crystals are being built as an end-of-chain resource, so they'll follow the same pattern as the scarce currencies before them: slow to earn, meaningful even in small amounts, and spent on real progression rather than hoarded. Expect them to sit above Pure Diamonds in the mining order.
Getting There #
The gate is in the Diamond Mine, which unlocks partway up your Time Leap climb. If you're not there yet, work through the mining chain first: earn a strong pickaxe, mine Diamonds, and purify them into Pure Diamonds at the Diamond Forge.
Once you're in the Diamond Mine you can walk to the Gatekeeper and see the gate for yourself, just
don't expect to get through it yet. Use /warp to move around the world's areas, and
