🕷 Cave Crawler
Cave Crawler
A fast, armored spider that swarms the Diamond Mine. It's a common threat you'll meet in
large numbers, and your steady source of Flesh and the coveted Fang.
Overview #
The Cave Crawler is the workhorse foe of the Diamond Mine, a custom
PvE mob (you never fight other players). Dozens of them roam the mine's tunnels, so you'll rarely have to
look far for a fight. Each one is quick on its feet and armored enough to shrug off half your hits, but
individually they're a manageable early Diamond Mine target.
They wander a small patch around their spawn and won't stray far. If you pull one and back off, it
returns home and heals up, so commit to the kill. Crawlers ignore anyone in the sealed
Mutant Cave Crawler lair. That region is off-limits
to the regular swarm.
💡
Crawlers wall-climb and leap over ledges to reach you, so height and gaps won't
save you for long. Bring a
sword with enough
Damage 🗡 to out-trade their
50%
🗰 defense before their numbers wear you down.

Health & Regen
80 ❤ max. If left alone it slowly heals, about
8 ❤ (10% of max) every 15 seconds, so don't give it a
breather mid-fight.
Defense
50% 🗰 damage reduction, so plan on it taking roughly double
the raw Damage 🗡 to bring one down.
Damage
Each melee hit deals 55 🗡 to you. Manageable one-on-one, but a
pack can burn through your Health ❤ fast. See
Combat basics for how your defense soaks that.
Behavior
Quick, wall-climbing, and leaps over obstacles. Wanders a small radius around its spawn and returns
home if you flee. It'll target anyone who hits it, and swaps to the nearest reachable player
otherwise.
Respawn
60 seconds after death: short enough to farm a room, long enough that clearing an area buys
you breathing space.
Drops #
Every Cave Crawler always pays out Flesh. Beyond that it's the go-to source
of the Fang, the sword relic that many players' first serious blade is built around.

Fang
A sword relic. Applied to a sword at the Relic Smith, it amplifies
that blade's own boost by +5–20% Damage 🗡. This is the
Crawler's signature carry.
Sharp Fang
An Epic
artifact. Placed in an Active Artifact slot, it grants a rolled
Crit Damage 💥 multiplier (×1.01–1.35).
ⓘ
Only players who deal at least
10% of a mob's total damage
receive loot, and each qualifying player rolls the table independently. Your
Loot Luck ⭐ stat improves the odds on
luck-sensitive drops. See the
Loot & Loot Luck
page for details.
Where & how to farm #
Cave Crawlers spawn throughout the Diamond Mine, which unlocks once you
reach the Diamond Breaker Time Leap tier in the Stone Age. Use
/warp to reach the mine, then clear rooms of Crawlers while you mine for
Diamonds.
🗡 Out-scale the armor
Their 50% 🗰 defense means roughly double effective health.
A stronger sword and Damage 🗡
boosts pay off more here than against unarmored foes.
⭐ Chase the Fang
Both signature drops sit at 1 / 150. Farming the swarm and raising your
Loot Luck ⭐ is the fastest route to a
Fang for your blade.
❤ Mind the pack
One Crawler is easy; a room of them stacks 55 🗡 hits fast.
Pull small groups and let your Defense 🗰 and
regen carry you.
☠
Dying costs you nothing. You drop no items and respawn at The Origin
after a short countdown. Your gear is never lost. But a wipe means walking back, so don't overextend
into a full nest.
New to the Diamond Mine's mobs? Compare the Crawler with the ranged
Prism Archer, the tanky
Gemstone Guardian, and the
Mutant Cave Crawler boss that lairs off the mine. For the
earlier Iron Mine foe, see the
Undead Miner.
