Eras

The highest-order layer of progression: a pure upgrade ladder that multiplies every resource you gain and opens the door to the four Alignments that define your late game.

Overview #

An Era is the top rung of the progression ladder, sitting above even the Time Leap. Advancing your Era is done from the Era Chamber with /era (also /rebirth), which you first reach at Time Leap Cloudwalker on Skyspire.

Unlike most milestones in Timelords, an Era tier-up resets nothing. It's a clean, pure upgrade. Each tier hands you a flat × multiplier on every resource you generate, and from the Stone Age onward it lets you pledge to one of the four Alignments that reshape your whole playstyle.

There are three active Eras today: The Origin, The Stone Age, and The Bronze Age. Higher Eras are planned for future updates.
📜
To advance an Era is to fold every timeline you've lived into the next. Nothing is left behind, only carried forward and made stronger.

The Three Eras #

Each Era is gated by a Time Leap tier plus a small Intelligence Generation requirement, both of which you'll comfortably have by the time you reach the gate.

EraNameRequirement to reachResource multiplier
I The Origin Starting Era ×1.0
II The Stone Age Time Leap Starforged + 1 Intelligence Generation ×1.1
III The Bronze Age Time Leap Temporal Master + 1 Intelligence Generation ×1.2
Starforged and Temporal Master are Time Leap tiers. You don't spend anything on the Era gate itself beyond reaching that tier and holding at least 1 Intelligence Generation from Skyspire.

The Resource Multiplier #

Every Era tier above The Origin adds a flat +10% to all of your resource gains: Ticks, Moments, Seconds, Chrono Dust, the ores, and everything else. This stacks straight into every gain formula in the game.

Era I: The Origin
×1.0 (no bonus; this is your baseline).
Era II: The Stone Age
×1.1 to every resource.
Era III: The Bronze Age
×1.2 to every resource.

Because it multiplies your gains, the Era bonus compounds with every other boost you own: Time Leaps, Chrono Dust, runes, artifacts, and your Alignment rolls all pile on top of it.

💡
Since tiering up costs you nothing, there's never a reason to sit on a completed Era requirement. Take the free × multiplier the moment you qualify.

Alignments & Era Resets #

Reaching The Stone Age opens the Era Chamber, where the four Timelords offer you an Alignment, a permanent specialization with rolled boosts, a unique passive, and its own area. Only Genesis can be chosen at the Stone Age; Ascension, Tectonic, and Carnage all require you to first reach The Bronze Age.

An Era tier-up is a pure upgrade, but choosing or changing an Alignment is different: it triggers a full Era reset.

Picking or switching an Alignment wipes your resources, your pre-Era unlocks, and your current Time Leap tier. Decide carefully, since you can only hold one Alignment at a time.

The reset sounds harsh, but two things soften it enormously:

  • Your best-ever Time Leap tier never drops. It only ratchets upward, and it's what gates your gear and artifacts, so even though your current tier falls, all of your equipment keeps working.
  • Your items are never touched. Pickaxes, swords, armor, relics, artifacts, accessories, charms, runes, and potions all survive an Era reset (and every other reset) untouched.

What an Era reset does clear are your grind-able resources and pre-Era unlocks, the same things you re-earn quickly once your Alignment's compounding boosts kick in.

Tips #

  • Tier up your Era the instant you meet the gate. The × resource multiplier is free and resets nothing.
  • The Alignment choice, not the Era tier-up, is the reset. Before you pledge, know which of Genesis, Ascension, Tectonic, or Carnage fits your playstyle.
  • Your Alignment roll scales with your Potential in that Timelord's specialty, so push that specialty higher before you align (or re-align) to bank a stronger roll.
  • New to the game and unsure where any of this fits? /guide opens this wiki in your browser. Start from the core loop and work up.
