Ascension is one of the four Alignments you pledge to at the Era Chamber. It's the specialist for the middle of the game: it pours its rolled boosts into Intelligence Generation, Strength, and Seconds, and it can grant two of the most sought-after passives in the game: Chrono Dust Keeper and Mastermind.
Pledging to Ascension unlocks the Arcane Trials shop and lets you trade with the Ascension Timelord for the Ascension Feather, a movement-speed item you can carry to any playstyle afterward.
Requirement & how to align #
Ascension becomes available once you reach the Bronze Age, the third Era. Genesis is the only alignment offered as early as the Stone Age; Ascension, Tectonic, and Carnage all require the Bronze Age.
To align, speak with the Ascension Timelord in the Era Chamber and pledge. You can only hold one alignment at a time, and switching later re-rolls everything.
Boosts & passives #
Every alignment rolls a set of randomly chosen boosts when you pledge. Ascension's pool leans hard into your mid-game economy. Below are its possible rolls and their value ranges. The high end of each range grows with your Potential.

Ascension also has a chance to grant powerful passives when you pledge. The more Potential you've built, the better your odds:

Potential #
The strength of your roll scales with your Potential, a score from 0 to 10 that each Timelord measures in its own specialty. You earn +1 Potential for every threshold you pass on two tracks. Ascension reads your total Intelligence and your lifetime Intelligence resets (each Intelligence Generator reset counts).

Higher Potential widens every boost range and raises your odds of the Chrono Dust Keeper and Mastermind passives, so it pays to grind your Intelligence before you pledge.
Unlocks & trades #
Alongside its boosts, aligning with Ascension opens up an exclusive shop and a signature trade item.
- The Arcane Trials shop, an Intelligence-fueled shop opened by the Ascension alignment.
