🔄 Time Leap

Time Leap

The major prestige reset. Wipe your Origin progression to bank a permanent tier that multiplies every resource you earn, and unlocks the mines, Strength, Intelligence, Eras, and the Diamond Mine as you climb the 36-tier ladder from Novice to Timelord.

What a Time Leap Does #

A Time Leap is the biggest reset in your Origin loop. You spend the run you just built, and in exchange, every resource in the game gains a permanent multiplier that stacks with every tier you've earned before it. Where a Seconds or Chrono Dust reset trades one layer for a bigger one, a Time Leap resets the whole lower stack at once for a boost that applies to everything.

You Time Leap when your Temporal Power gauge reaches the requirement for the next tier. Temporal Power isn't a reset itself. It's a passive gauge, built from XP, that gates your leap. Once you meet the requirement, you can leap.

🔒
Your best-ever Time Leap tier never drops. It ratchets up only, and it's what gates your gear and artifacts, so even when an Era reset lowers your current tier, your equipment keeps working because it checks your all-time best.

What Resets (and What Doesn't) #

A Time Leap resets your Origin loop and nothing beyond it:

Wiped by a Time Leap
XP and Temporal Power, your Ticks, Moments and Seconds (plus their Moments and Seconds upgrades), and your Chrono Dust, unless you have the Chrono Dust Keeper passive, which lets Chrono Dust survive the leap.
Kept through a Time Leap
Your ores (Coal, Bronze, Iron and Diamonds) along with Strength, Intelligence, and Flesh. None of these are touched.
🎒
Your items are never lost. Pickaxes, swords, armor, relics, artifacts, accessories, charms, runes and potions all survive every reset, Time Leap included. You never rebuild your gear.

The 36 Tiers #

There are 36 tiers, from Novice to Timelord. Each tier is gated by a Temporal Power requirement, and many unlock major content. The key milestones (tiers with no listed unlock simply grant the per-tier multiplier):

From the Stone Age onward, higher tiers also require your Era to keep pace. The Diamond Breaker tier and everything above it need at least the Stone Age, and the tiers past Temporal Master need the Bronze Age.

The Multiplier Per Tier #

This is why you leap. Each tier applies a multiplicative boost to your resource gains, and it compounds, with every tier stacking on top of the last. Different resources scale at different rates, and each only starts benefiting once you pass the tier that unlocks its boost:

ResourceBoost begins atPer tier
XPExplorer (2)×2.5
TicksExplorer (2)×2
MomentsExplorer (2)×2
SecondsTime Traveler (3)×1.75
CoalMiner (4)×1.30
BronzeMiner (4)×1.25
IronMiner (4)×1.20
DiamondsEpoch Slayer (13)×1.10

Because the boost is per tier above the unlock point, a deep run turns these small-looking multipliers into astronomical totals. A Timelord's XP gain is ×2.5 compounded across dozens of tiers.

💡
The Rift Amplifier node on the Pure Diamond Upgrade Tree adds +20% to every one of these per-tier bases, a permanent boost to every future leap.

How to Leap #

Open the Time Leap menu with /timeleap (also /tl or /prestige). When your Temporal Power meets the next tier's requirement, confirm the leap.

  • Overshoot before you leap. A leap only cares that you hit the requirement, so the extra Temporal Power beyond it does nothing, but the bigger loop you build first means a much faster next climb thanks to your fresh multipliers.
  • Struggling to reach the next tier? Go farm Seconds to heavily boost the XP that build Temporal Power.
  • Once unlocked, Time Leap Automation can perform leaps for you the instant you qualify. Toggle it on in the Time Leap menu.
