Ascension Feather

A signature trade item from the Ascension path. Held in your offhand, it grants +10 Move Speed to anyone, plus +1 Move Speed more per Era tier while you stay Ascension-aligned.

Overview #

The Ascension Feather is a lightweight offhand item you trade for on the Ascension Alignment path. Its whole job is speed: carry it in your offhand slot and it hands out a flat block of Move Speed to any player who holds it, no matter which alignment you're on now.

On top of that flat bonus, it rewards loyalty. While you remain aligned with Ascension, the feather grants an extra +1 Move Speed for every Era tier you've reached, so the further you climb the Era ladder, the faster you move.

How the boost works #

The feather only boosts you while it's sitting in your offhand slot. Move it to your main inventory and the Move Speed goes away. Put it back and it returns. The bonus comes in two parts:

The per-tier portion scales with your Era: at The Origin you get only the flat +10, at The Stone Age a little more, and at The Bronze Age more still, as long as you're still on the Ascension path when it's counted.

If you switch to another Alignment, you keep the feather and its flat +10 Move Speed, but the per-Era bonus stops counting until you align with Ascension again.

How to get it #

The Ascension Feather isn't found or dropped. You trade for it with the Ascension Timelord in the Era Chamber, which means you first need to be walking the Ascension path.

250 Pure Diamonds + 1 Gemstone Core.

Pure Diamonds are the scarce mid-to-late resource you refine from Diamonds in the Diamond Mine, so a 250-Pure-Diamond price tag is a real commitment, so plan your Ascension pledge with the feather in mind.

Aligning, or changing alignment, triggers a full Era reset (resources, pre-Era unlocks, and current Time Leap tier). Your best-ever Time Leap tier is preserved, and every item you own is kept, so a feather you already traded for survives the switch untouched.

Tips #

  • Keep it in your offhand full-time. The boost is on while it's there and off the moment it isn't.
  • Because it's an item, it never resets. It rides through every Seconds, Chrono Dust, Time Leap, Intelligence Generator, and Era reset with you.
  • The per-Era bonus rewards staying on the Ascension path deep into the Bronze Age. The highest Era gives the biggest speed.
  • Even if you later move to Tectonic, Carnage, or Genesis, the flat +10 Move Speed still travels with you.
