Overview #
The Deep Breaker sits at the very top of the pickaxe ladder, above even the diamond tiers, but it isn't part of the normal upgrade chain. It's a signature reward you can only earn by walking the Tectonic path, and it's the single best mining tool in the game. Where every ordinary pickaxe can only break ore up to a certain tier, the Deep Breaker breaks everything, so you never have to swap tools as you dig through richer and richer ore.
From Coal all the way up to compressed Diamond blocks: one pickaxe for the entire mine.
Right-click to double your Mining Speed ⛏ for 30 seconds, a burst you fire whenever you want to blitz through a vein.
The built-in Miner's Grace passive gives every block you mine a chance to upgrade into a richer ore tier.
Stats #
Like every pickaxe, the Deep Breaker's main stat is Mining Speed ⛏, the total block damage it does each second. Its value is rolled once when the pickaxe is forged and kept for life, so two Deep Breakers can differ a little; roll toward the top of the range and you've got a keeper.
Mining Surge #
Mining Surge is the Deep Breaker's exclusive ability. Right-click while holding the pickaxe and it channels the depths, applying the Mining Surge effect that multiplies your Mining Speed ⛏ by 2×.

How to Get It #
The Deep Breaker is Tectonic-only. You can't mine it, drop it, or buy it in an ore shop. You trade for it on the Tectonic path at the Drill Mechanic's Shop, which only opens once you've pledged to the Tectonic alignment at the Era Chamber.
