Artifacts

Rare relics of a bygone age. Slot an artifact into your Active Artifacts to gain a permanent multiplier. There's one for almost every resource, plus a few that sharpen your combat stats.

What artifacts do #

Artifacts are boost items you place into your Active Artifacts slots with /artifacts. While an artifact sits in an active slot, its boost applies to everything you do, and like every item in Timelords, an artifact rolls its exact value once when it's created and keeps it forever. Two of the same artifact can carry different multipliers, so it's always worth hunting for a better roll.

Most artifacts multiply a resource's fortune (how much of it you earn): Ticks, Moments, Seconds, Chrono Dust, Coal, Bronze, Iron, Diamonds, XP, Flesh, Strength, and Intelligence Generation all have one. A handful instead raise combat stats like Damage 🗡, Defense 🗰, and Critical Damage 💥.

🔒
Every artifact requires the Diamond Breaker Time Leap tier before it will work, the same tier that opens the Diamond Mine. That check uses your best-ever tier, so once you've reached Diamond Breaker your artifacts keep working even if a later reset lowers your current tier.

Active slots #

You start with a single active artifact slot, so early on you're choosing the one artifact whose boost matters most to your current goal. Completing 4 quests for the Collector unlocks a second slot, letting you run two boosts at once. Artifacts you aren't using sit safely in your storage until you swap them in.

💡
Match your active slot to what you're grinding. Pushing a Time Leap? Slot Pale Stone for XP. Farming the Diamond Mine? Diamond Chip earns its keep.

Every artifact #

There are 15 artifacts in all. Their boosts roll within the range shown, so a lucky drop can be several times stronger than an unlucky one.

How to get them #

Artifacts are among the rarest drops in the world. There are two reliable ways to build your collection:

🃏 Ultra-rare drops

Every Ticks click has a roughly 1 in 2,000,000 chance to drop the Pocket Watch, and every Diamond block you mine has about a 1 in 20,000 chance to drop the Diamond Chip. Don't count on these; treat them as a lucky surprise.

🛍 The Collector

The Collector in the Diamond Mine stocks 3 random artifacts every day, priced in Pure Diamonds (from just 1 for the cheapest up to 25 for the Titan Core). This is the dependable way to fill in the artifacts luck won't hand you.

🔄
Artifacts are items, and items are never lost to any reset: not Seconds, Chrono Dust, Time Leap, Intelligence, or an Era reset. Once an artifact is yours, it's yours for good.
