Overview #
The Collector is an NPC found in the depths of the Diamond Mine, the same area you unlock alongside diamonds at Time Leap tier 12 (Diamond Breaker). He deals in the rarest artifacts in the game and pays out a series of quests that widen your artifact storage.
Artifacts normally drop only about 1 in 2,000,000 per mine, so the Collector's rotating shop is the single most reliable way to actually get your hands on them. Everything he sells is bought with Pure Diamonds, the scarce currency you refine at the Diamond Forge.
The Collector's Shop #
After you finish the first quest below, the shop opens. It offers 3 random artifacts every day. The selection reloads on a rolling 24-hour timer, and the info book in the menu shows exactly how long until the next refresh. Each artifact is priced in Pure Diamonds, from 1 up to 25, roughly tracking its rarity.
These are the artifacts the Collector can offer, with their fixed Pure Diamond price:
| Artifact | Rarity | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Pocket Watch | Common | 1 PD |
| Golden Bell | Common | 1 PD |
| Flesh Trinket | Common | 2 PD |
| Brass Pendulum | Uncommon | 3 PD |
| Dust Vial | Uncommon | 4 PD |
| Warm Ember | Common | 5 PD |
| Pale Stone | Rare | 5 PD |
| Bronze Coin | Common | 7 PD |
| Iron Weight | Uncommon | 8 PD |
| Diamond Chip | Rare | 10 PD |
| Chipped Blade | Rare | 10 PD |
| Arcane Lens | Epic | 15 PD |
| Sharp Fang | Epic | 20 PD |
| Titan Core | Legendary | 25 PD |
The Quest Chain #
The Collector offers a chain of quests, unlocked one at a time as you complete the previous. The first opens his shop; the rest reward the Collector's Cloak relic and permanent expansions to how many artifacts you can store and equip.
| Quest | Goals | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Proving Your Worth | Obtain 1 Pure Diamond · mine 250 Diamond Fragments | Unlocks the Collector's Shop |
| The Collector's Prize | Obtain 10 Pure Diamonds · kill 25 Cave Crawlers | Collector's Cloak |
| Restocking the Shop | 10 Undead Cores · 100 Pure Diamonds · kill 200 Cave Crawlers · mine 250 Diamond Blocks | +10 artifact storage slots & a 2nd Collector's Cloak |
| Room for More | 50 Undead Cores · 5,000 Pure Diamonds · mine 500 Compressed Diamond Blocks | +1 Active Artifact slot |
The Undead Cores the later quests ask for drop from the Undead Miner back in the Iron Mine, while the Cave Crawler kills and diamond mining all happen right here in the Diamond Mine. The final quest's extra Active Artifact slot lets you keep one more artifact's boost running at once, a permanent power increase that, like all items, is never lost to any reset.
The Collector's Cloak #
The signature reward of the quest chain is the Collector's Cloak, an armor relic. Relics are applied to a gear piece at the Relic Smith and amplify that piece's own boost. The Cloak is a mobility trade: it raises your +15–25% Move Speed on the armor it's attached to, at the cost of some −15 to −30% 🗡 Defense.
| Relic | Rarity | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Collector's Cloak | Rare | +15–25% Move Speed · −15 to −30% 🗡 Defense |
You earn one from The Collector's Prize and a second from Restocking the Shop, so you can outfit more than one armor set for speed. Like every item on Timelords, a relic is never lost to any reset. Seconds, Chrono Dust, Time Leap, the Intelligence Generator, or an Era reset all leave your gear untouched.
Tips #
- Check the shop daily. Since it rerolls every 24 hours, a habit of stopping by the Collector on each login is the steadiest way to complete your artifact set.
- Bank your Pure Diamonds before opening the shop so you can grab a pricey pull (like the 25 PD Titan Core) the moment it appears.
- Prioritize the artifacts that boost whatever you're pushing right now: a Pale Stone for XP early, or the Titan Core once you're deep into combat.
- Finish the first two quests early to unlock the Auto Diamond Forge. It snowballs your Pure Diamond income, which in turn feeds the whole Collector economy.
- Save the huge Room for More quest (5,000 Pure Diamonds) for when Pure Diamonds are flowing; the extra Active Artifact slot it grants is permanent and well worth the haul.
